Hello!

I'm a friendly South African living in London! Join me on my quest to save the planet. Let's start with recycling….and banning all plastic!

My kind of fun! The first steps of going plastic free.

My kind of fun! The first steps of going plastic free.

After a fantastic PLASTIC FREE dinner put on by Peardrop, I was inspired. Especially after we were all asked to make a pledge and mine was to give up takeaway cups for life! Not an easy task, but it's all about the baby steps right?!

But when you start with one thing, it has a compounding effect, and it made me notice the plastic that had slowly crept into every corner of my life. #saynotoplastic

Action stations! Something needed to change in my world. Some things are pretty easy to do and will make a huge difference.

1. If you want a coffee on the 'road', buy a reusable cup to use.
2. Carry a refillable bottle with you. Water refill places are popping up everywhere (see image below).
3. Try and shop at your local food market - it's pretty fun actually :)

Along with this plastic-free journey, I also found a new hobby. Those who know me won't be too surprised that I am now a proud owner of a litter grabber. Yay!

It may take me four times as long to walk around the park, but I'm so happy! Let me know me if you would like to join me one day. Yes? Maybe? :)

Please send me an email and share your tips of reducing plastic.
